Italy’s anti-drug education initiative has gone beyond over one million informational booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide factual education about commonly abused substances and their impact on health and society.
Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in cities, neighbourhoods Scientology and local businesses. The campaign focuses on helping young people make informed decisions, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
The initiative forms part of Scientology-supported social betterment activities, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
